REQUEST MVR

THE MVR Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Request Application provides a seamless and efficient way to obtain comprehensive driving record of your prospective and current drivers. Whether you are an individual or employer, our service is designed to meet your needs with ease and accuracy.

Employers must maintain and keep for inspection a motor vehicle record, an MVR, for each driver in their Driver Qualification file (the DQ File). The carrier or employer must request each driver or employee's MVR every 12 months and must keep the record for 3 years. The carrier must review the motor vehicle records of drivers it employs to determine whether that driver meets minimum requirements for safe driving or is disqualified to drive a CMV.
For the FMCSR requlation visit https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-III/subchapter-B/part-391/subpart-B/section-391.15 (C.F.R. 391.15).

What does the MVR record reveal?

A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) provides a detailed overview of an individual's driving history. This record reveals critical information about a driver, including:

  1. Traffic Violations: Details of any traffic tickets, speeding fines, or other infractions.
  2. Accidents: Records of any accidents the driver has been involved in, including the severity and outcome.
  3. License Status: Information on the current status of the driver’s license, including suspensions, revocations, or restrictions.
  4. Driving Endorsements: Endorsements indicating special permissions or certifications, such as commercial driving or motorcycle operation.
  5. Disqualifications: Any disqualifications that prevent the driver from legally operating a vehicle.
  6. DUI/DWI Records: Any incidents of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  7. Points on License: Accumulated points from violations, which could impact insurance rates and driving privileges.

To complete the MVR application, contact one of our agents at (240) 544-0930 and they can walk you through the process. Ensure to inquire about the Comprehensive CDL Driver Hiring Solution when you contact our office as it includes the MVRs, PSPs and Pre-Employment drug & alcohol tests.
